Tennis Development Officer


Warwick Sports mission is to inspire and motivate students, staff, and the wider community to engage in an active lifestyle that supports physical and mental well-being helping to support the University of Warwick’s vision towards building the most active campus community in the UK.
Your role will be to develop a Tennis Development Programme which supports the delivery of the LTA funded tennis programme at the University.Working closely with the Tennis Manager, Active Wellbeing Manager and the Club and Performance Manager in supporting the development of the tennis pathway at Warwick to increase participation in the sport in line with KPI’s identified by the Active Wellbeing Manager.
The suitable candidate will need to have an excellent knowledge of tennis development as well as demonstrable experience in providing tennis to the community. You will have an LTA accredited Coaching Award (Level 2) and sound knowledge of the structure of Tennis in the UK.
You will need a flexible approach to work, and it is key that you have good communication skills and the ability to develop excellent working partnerships with coaches, clubs, schools, and other internal and external agencies.
This is a part time role working 21 hours per week.
This is fixed term contract for 1 year

- A sport related degree or equivalent experience within tennis.
- LTA accredited Coaching Award (Level 2)
- Knowledge of the structure of Tennis in the UK.
- Ability to create and develop new initiatives in line with achieving objectives
- Experience of developing and implementing new programmes
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of developing relationships with internal and external partners
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on own initiative
- Willingness to undertake further training relevant to the role
- Experience of using technology to share information, key reports and communication.
