We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Tennis Coach to join our coaching team across three busy tennis sites in Enfield. We run a wide range of popular programmes for both children and adults throughout the year and are seeking someone who is passionate about developing players of all ages and abilities.

Job Description

This role is ideal for a coach who already holds (or is working towards) an LTA Level 2 qualification. Candidates with an LTA Level 1 qualification and relevant experience will also be considered, provided they are committed to achieving Level 2 within the year. We will also consider level 3 coaches for this role.

Key Responsibilities
•Assist lead coaches in delivering engaging sessions for children and adults.
•Escort children aged 5–11 from school to after-school tennis clubs, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
•Contribute to fun, structured tennis activities as part of our holiday camp programme.
•Once LTA Level 2 qualified:
•Lead group coaching sessions independently.
•Deliver and manage your own programme of individual (1:1) lessons.
•Organise and support junior and adult tennis tournaments.
•Take part in club open days and promotional events in schools.

Additional Requirements
•References from two individuals who have known you in a professional capacity for at least 12 months.
•Employment will be as a self-employed contractor, dependent on providing documentary evidence of current LTA certification, First Aid, and DBS.

Pay & Hours
•Coaching rates are competitive and in line with local rates, dependent on qualification and experience.
•Weekly hours are variable (approx. 15-20 hours per week to start, with potential for more).
•There is strong potential to build up your own programme of individual (1:1) lessons. The intention of this role is the coach will take on maintain and build more 1-2-1 lessons and have a 50/50 split between 1-2-1 and prorgramme coaching.
•Other lead coaches in the team currently work over 40 hours a week so this is a great opportunity to grow into a long lasting role.

We currently operate across three venues — Bounds Green Tennis Club, Bush Hill Park Tennis Club, and Broomfield Park. Our established outdoor programmes have been running successfully for over nine years at Bounds Green, five years at Broomfield Park, and two and a half years at Bush Hill Park. Sessions continue in light rain, reflecting the strength and consistency of our community coaching. We maintain excellent relationships with club committees and local stakeholders and are now looking to expand our coaching team. With floodlights at all venues, strong school partnerships, and growing participation, there are plenty of opportunities for development and progression.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated coach with good playing ability, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping players of all ages improve and enjoy tennis. The ideal candidate will be a team player who fits into our fun, inclusive coaching programme and values our strong connections with the local community. It’s important that the coach is based locally and able to work flexible hours when required.
