Senior Tennis Coach - Tennis in Merton
Following our recent expansion across the Borough of Merton, we are looking for ambitious and career-driven tennis coaches to join Tennis in Merton and be part of a new era of parks tennis coaching.
This is an opportunity to work within a growing, high-impact community programme delivering tennis across 12 sites, including our flagship venue at Wimbledon Park, now with 20 courts.
We offer both part-time and full-time roles. Part-time coaches are required to commit to a minimum of two weekday evenings and one weekend day. Full-time coaches will be based across one to two venues, with at least 20 hours of guaranteed coaching per week, plus additional earning opportunities through programme delivery and private lessons.
There is also a clear Lead Coach pathway for those looking to progress, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility and lead delivery at one of our remote sites.
Pay is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. Full-time coaches will receive full Wilson sponsorship as part of their package.
Our coaching approach is built around three pillars: team, technical and physical. We focus on creating a strong team environment, delivering simple and effective technical coaching, and developing physical skills in a fun, engaging way.
Tennis in Merton operates across 12 park tennis venues within the Borough of Merton, providing accessible, high-quality coaching in a community-focused environment.
Our flagship site, Wimbledon Park, is one of the largest park tennis venues in London, featuring 20 courts and a full weekly programme of coaching, competitions, and community sessions. The site has recently been refurbished as part of the LTA and UK Government’s Park Tennis Project, creating a high-quality environment for both players and coaches.
In addition to Wimbledon Park, coaches will have the opportunity to work across a network of local park venues, each with its own growing player base and community presence. Full-time and Lead Coaches may be based at one or two key sites, with opportunities to take ownership of programme delivery and growth at remote locations.
All venues are part of a wider borough-wide initiative to increase participation and provide inclusive tennis opportunities for all ages and abilities.
