We are looking for an enthusiastic tennis coach to lead on our Club’s coaching offer. This role includes a monthly retainer for leading on our Junior coaching (Two 1 hour group sessions per week). All other sessions are on a self employed basis or by separate agreement with the club.

Requirements :-

To be LTA accredited at all times

To work collaboratively with the club and the tennis committee to help deliver its overall aims and objectives. Be able to work with the club to continue to develop our role within the local and tennis communities.

To be available to provide individual and small group lessons as requested by members

To provide a varied coaching program which covers all levels of club play and allows for player development (Beginners to team tennis, junior session, holiday clubs)

To be visual at the club and help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere

To engage with the local community to promote the club and its offer. (schools, community groups etc)

To work with local leagues/clubs to help deliver competitive opportunities for juniors

To be a positive role model

To support the clubs teams in helping captains with selection, communications and playing matches as agreed.

To provide invoices outlining activity and pay % contribution to the club

To provide reports at Tennis committee meetings

Prestwich CTBC is a thriving community based sports club with over 700 members in total. The Tennis Section has 220 playing members, which is continuing to grow. Our facilities includes 6 floodlit courts, on two different surfaces and offer year round play. We are very successful in both of our local leagues and offer a full range of opportunities to all participants. We have a modern clubhouse with a full range of amenities, including showers, lounge, members room, glazed terrace pergola and two kitchens.

Required skills and experience:

You will have an interest in working with a wide range of players from beginners to advanced and will have the initiative and confidence to put together a programme of activities and market your services, along with the support of the tennis exec and our social media team.

You will be LTA Accredited Level 3 or higher (we will also accept applications from experienced Level 2s actively working towards Level 3).

You will be approachable, professional with a strong work ethic and be able to work well and communicate confidently with a diverse range of people and age ranges.

You will have availability to offer coaching across evenings and/or weekends.

You will have a clear understanding of safeguarding and best practice around child protection.

You will be computer literate and able to operate Microsoft Office programmes and booking systems such as ClubSpark (desirable)

You will have a good playing standard and be able to take up the opportunity to represent the club in our first teams for key matches.
