Performance Coach - Starting September 2026
Boston Tennis Club is seeking an ambitious and driven self employed Tennis Coach to join our coaching team and play a key role in the continued growth of our performance programme. The role focuses on developing players within a structured pathway, working with a committed group of athletes aiming to improve, compete and progress within the game.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality performance sessions and individual lessons, support the planning and progression of players, and take an active role in competition environments. This includes attending tournaments, working with players on matchplay, developing our teams and contributing to the overall management and development of performance player programmes.
This job has come about due to a career change from our current performance coach, although you will be self employed there is already a strong foundation of hours in both individual and groups as well as potential for growth. We are looking for an LTA qualified level 4 or 5 Tennis coach, however a level 3 coach working towards or with ambitions to do their level 4 may be considered
Venue Overview
Boston Tennis Club has 17 courts, including 4 indoor and a vibrant and popular clubhouse and café. The club has been national club of the year twice and Lincolnshire LTA club of the year on several occassions
Coaching at Boston Tennis Club has been established for well over 50 years. It operates a large adult and junior coaching programme for development and performance players with over 350 participants per week.
With around 700 members we have a large competitive programme fielding a large number teams in Lincolnshire and regional team leagues and are looking for this to grow.

Person Specification
We are seeking a coach who will bring energy, professionalism and a strong sense of commitment to our tennis programme. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive mindset, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for player development. Applicants should either have experience within a performance coaching environment or possess a high standard of playing ability.
The role requires a coach who is confident and capable of leading group sessions, while also delivering high-quality individual coaching. Strong communication, organisation and on-court presence are essential, along with the ability to take ownership of sessions and contribute to the wider development of the programme.
