Part-time Performance Tennis Coach Role / SW London


TW Tennis already has a large development program in place at park sites and schools around Hampton and Twickenham. We would like to develop another tier to our pathway of learning for players with competitive ambitions. This role offers a part-time schedule of groups and individual coaching for someone who wants to work with higher level juniors and integrate them into matchplay events and local competitions. We currently have our best players playing at G3-G4 level and would like to expand this area of coaching.
The successful candidate would need to have the following qualities to be considered for the role:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification and LTA accreditation
- Experience of working with performance players up to Grade 3 level
- High playing experience and current playing standard
- Energy and enthusiasm to get junior players competing to their potential
- Ability to referee and run in house match play events and leagues
- Good admin skills and knowledge of LTA tournament software
Ideally, the successful candidate would be local to our sites and live around SW London to allow ease of commute to work or to be readily available for sessions.

TW Tennis has been established for over 5 years and works with Richmond Borough Council to manage and operate 2 local park sites at Carlisle Park and Kneller Gardens.
Founder and Head Coach is Steve Cockell who has been coaching in SW London for 25 years and is a LTA Performance Coach.
Our program covers a large number of junior and adult players and we have year round facilities.
Our partnership with local schools is an area that we are trying to develop and we already have partnerships with some of the UK's best private schools and deliver tennis coaching on site throughout the year.

- Ability to work and structure classes independently from the head coach
- Passion for performance both on and off the court
- Healthy lifestyle and ability to play tennis to a high level
- Interest in the development of competitive tennis across the county and in the UK
- Ability to start work from September
