Part-time coach - Woodland LTC
Woodland LTC is looking for an energetic and self-motivated coach, LTA accredited level 2+ and above, to expand and develop our coaching programme for both juniors and adults. This post would suit a self-employed coach, prepared to run the Saturday morning and mid-week junior sessions, junior holiday camps, one-to-one coaching and adult group sessions. The Coach would also be required to work closely with the Junior Team to run events, fundraisers and leagues; they would also keep the coaching page of the website updated. Woodland has in place a coaches’ charter and the successful candidate would be expected to adhere to its principles. There is also an expectation that the coach will attend open days and become an important part of the Woodland community.
Woodland is a small, friendly Club with three astro-turf courts resurfaced in March 2024. We have 140 members who are united by a passion for tennis, both competitive and social, and who embrace all tennis opportunities with great enthusiasm. The Club does not have floodlights.
The ideal coach for Woodland would be well-organised, enthusiastic, inventive and a good communicator who is able to plan and deliver a varied coaching programme for players of all ages and abilities. They will be keen to develop links with the community, particularly with local schools, to help with membership growth. The successful candidate will be able to work with a team and report to the committee on progress and development.
