Lead Club Coach
Join a Growing Performance & Development Programme in North London
Finchley Manor is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Level 4 Coach (or Level 3 working towards Level 4) in a Self-Employed (subcontracted to Ignite Tennis Ltd) to come on board as a Club Coach, helping to build and lead both our Junior Development and Adult Programme alongside the Head Coach and Directors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated coach who wants to be part of a progressive club environment with genuine growth potential.
🔥 The Opportunity
• Starting rate: £30+ per hour (depending on experience)
• Guaranteed start: 10–15 group hours per week
• Potential: Build towards 30–35+ hours per week (groups + individuals)
• Opportunity to work with performance players
• Involvement in shaping the junior pathway & adult programme
• Key role in developing club culture and team environment
🎯 Role Responsibilities
• Help lead, deliver and grow the Junior Development Programme
• Help lead, deliver and grow the Adult Club Programme
• Assist in running and managing Junior Teams
• Support and expand our Schools Programme (currently partnered with 2 schools, looking to grow further)
• Deliver Holiday Camps during school breaks
• Work weekend mornings (Saturday & Sunday) within development and member sessions
• Contribute to club competitions and team tennis
🏟️ The Venue
Finchley Manor offers excellent facilities and is investing in further development:
• 10 outdoor tennis courts
• 6 floodlit courts (with works underway to floodlight the remaining 4)
• 5 all-weather courts, with expansion planned
• Indoor squash courts – ideal for Mini Tennis & bad-weather training
• Strong and growing membership base
• Ambition to expand junior, adult and school pathways significantly over the next 2–3 years
👤 We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
• LTA Level 4 (or Level 3 actively working towards Level 4 in the next 2 years)
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to develop
• Strong communicator with parents, juniors, and adults
• A strong playing standard — has played to international/National or high county level and is capable of competing in the club’s 1st Teams
• Passionate about building a long-term programme, not just delivering hours
