Community Tennis Coach Provider
The Council welcomes applications from coaches or coaching provision organisations who are LTA accredited and have a minimum qualification of LTA Level 3, who can demonstrate experience of delivering community tennis programmes to a range of ages and abilities.
We are particularly interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from coaches with links to the local community or looking for opportunities to expand coaching provision in this area, with innovative plans to expand the appeal of tennis.
The successful applicant will be afforded exclusive use of the Church House Grounds tennis courts, for the purpose of delivering coaching.
In return, the coaches will deliver a programme of targeted community tennis activities, including LTA products and programmes, in particular Free Park Tennis and Great British Tennis Weekends and aligned with Adur & Worthing Councils plan - see links for further information:

The successful operator(s) will enter into an agreement with the council and will be required to utilise a ClubSpark account to manage the community programme bookings. The initial agreement will be for a minimum of 5 years, NB: An annual fee to Worthing Borough Council to be negotiated and subject to annual review.
In order to apply, please forward a precis of your proposal, including any experience with delivering a community tennis programme. We are interested in your ideas and all aspects of the future agreement are subject to negotiation, with ongoing review. Your proposed community programme should include a summary of how you will target under-represented groups and those new to the sport. Church House Grounds is a community park site - consider how your community programme would balance the need to have court time available for the public to be able to book courts alongside coaching provision. Please include a proposed timetable, including consideration of fees to pay, along with demonstrating how you will report on measures that show impact of the programmes to partners and stakeholders.
The successful coaching provider will be required to uphold the LTA’s Minimum Safeguarding Standards in line with the Fair, Green and Local ethos of all Adur & Worthing Council LTA registered park sites.
These are 2 full sized outdoor courts, accessed by code entry. Surfaced with tarmacadam and no floodlights.
