Tennis Coach
This role offers excellent growth potential, with access to a large and active membership base through Purley Sports Club’s extensive weekly coaching programme, which includes junior groups and adults. Coaches benefit from strong demand for individual lessons thanks to the club’s 400+ adult players and 200+ juniors engaged in regular coaching pathways, as well as additional opportunities through holiday camps, pay‑and‑play sessions, and community park‑based coaching venues that broaden access to new players. The position is ideal for a coach looking to build a thriving private‑lesson client base while contributing to a busy, varied weekly timetable.
Purley Sports Club is a long‑established multi‑sport venue. The club features 16 high‑quality tennis courts across four different surfaces - grass, clay, porous acrylic, and macadam - providing members with excellent playing conditions year‑round. PSC hosts a large and engaged tennis community with over 400 adult members, supporting a broad mix of social, competitive, and coaching activities. PSC runs a comprehensive coaching programme. The club also extends its reach into the local community through park‑based tennis sessions across multiple nearby locations, further broadening its accessibility and impact. Overall, PSC is a welcoming, community‑driven organisation with high‑quality facilities, and a diverse coaching structure designed to support players of all ages and abilities.
Qualifications
LTA Level 2 Accredited or above (Level 3 Preferred)
Current DBS, Safeguarding, and First Aid certifications.
Coaching Skills & Experience
Able to coach juniors across Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow ball stages.
Experience delivering adult beginner, intermediate, and improver sessions.
Confident teaching Cardio Tennis.
Capable of building a strong base of individual lessons through access to PSC’s large adult and junior membership.
