Regulation Compliance: Ensure all competitions adhere to LTA Competition Regulations, rules, and mandatory timescales.
Documentation: Prepare necessary event documentation, including risk assessments and safeguarding notices, in collaboration with the host venue.
2. Event Delivery
Venue Management: Act as the main point of contact on the day, overseeing the setup and management of courts, equipment (e.g., nets, balls), and registration areas.
Player Experience: Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for players and parents/guardians. Deliver a clear 'Welcome Speech' covering rules, schedule, and fair play.
Match Management: Oversee the start and finish of matches, monitor match progress, and make on-the-day adjustments to the schedule as required.
Rules & Disputes: Resolve minor disputes and address on-court issues in a fair and impartial manner, upholding the LTA Code of Conduct and promoting sportsmanship.
3. Results and Post-Event
Result Submission: Accurately and promptly record and submit all match results to the LTA using the appropriate digital system (e.g., LTA Results Manager) to ensure they count towards the players' World Tennis Number (WTN).
Feedback: Review the competition, gather feedback from players and parents, and use this insight to inform and improve future events.
4. Safeguarding and Welfare
Safety First: Ensure that safeguarding and welfare are a priority for all children and young people attending the competition.
Compliance: Work in line with the LTA's safeguarding policies and procedures. Ensure all required safeguarding information is clearly displayed at the venue.
