Lead Coach - Newbury and Thatcham Tennis
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced tennis coach to join our growing programme. The role has 25 core hours per week of group coaching delivery, with strong potential to build additional individual coaching hours (minimum 10 available from the start date). This role is perfect for a coach looking to progress their career. This role will involve elements of programme management, coach mentorship and leading on growth of tennis across the Newbury area.
You will deliver a mixture of LTA Youth and Adult group coaching sessions across a programme that includes an established programme and newly launched sessions.
Alongside group delivery, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to run their own self-employed individual coaching business, enabling them to significantly increase earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
-On-Court Delivery
-Deliver high-quality coaching across LTA Youth, Adult Coaching, Cardio Tennis and Tennis Express.
-Support the growth of the programme through excellent player engagement and retention.
-Help build strong school and club links to drive participation.
-Opportunity to build and manage your own portfolio of private coaching sessions on a self-employed basis.
Hours & Compensation:
-Full-time role: 25 hours per week group delivery.
-Opportunity to build up to 15 hours of private coaching.
-Salary / Rate: Dependent on qualifications and experience (to be discussed with employer).

-This is a minimum £40,000 per annum position with the scope to grow beyond this for a motivated individual.

Minimum LTA Level 2 qualification (Level 3 or above preferred).
Experience delivering sessions to children aged 4–17 and familiarity with LTA Youth coaching.
Minimum 2 years coaching experience across a range of sessions.
Passionate, enthusiastic and committed to delivering an outstanding tennis experience.
Professional, reliable and customer-focused.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude towards ongoing learning and development.
A growth mindset.
Experience using software systems such as ClubSpark is desirable.
