Head Tennis Coach – both on and off court duties

This is a tremendous opportunity for an inspiring, passionate and well-organised coach to work at one of the most prestigious clubs in Surrey. Set in the village of Oxshott, near to Cobham, this multi-sports village club boasts 7 floodlit artificial clay courts, one hard court and one multi-use (MUGA) hard court, both also floodlit. With several other sports played on site, including padel, squash, bowls, pétanque, cricket, netball and table tennis, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the week.
Requirements of the role:
Oxshott Tennis Club seek to appoint a new Head Coach to run the already well established and successful coaching programme. The successful applicant will be required to…
· Inspire and manage the existing coaching team.
· Manage and evolve where necessary, a comprehensive coaching programme that both serves the members and the community
· Maintain and create new school links
· Ensure there is a clear pathway for aspirational players to move through the performance programme and represent the club in league fixtures
· Have a presence around the club and be a Head Coach that the members know and recognise
· Be seen and occasionally play-in at the adult mix-in social sessions
· Be able to competently manage the admin involved with running a coaching programme, handling renewals and trials for new prospective members in the programme
The Coaching Team:
Oxshott currently has 8 tennis coaches working at the club in a variety of full and part-time capacities, ranging from level 5 to level 2, this is a great opportunity for a coach with excellent skills to work in a strong coaching team and support the values they uphold.
Oxshott sports Club is a multi sports venue, offering Tennis, Padel, Squash, Netball, Bowls, Petanque and Cricket. We boast excellent facilities including a large clubhouse, a manned bar providing snacks and a great social programme.
An inspirational Head Coach with proven experience in managing, developing a team of coaches and a full coaching programme. We would expect our new head coach to become a real figure head at our club.
