Head Coach - Mortonhall Tennis Club, Edinburgh
Mortonhall Tennis Club is looking for a Head Coach to assume responsibility for delivering our coaching programme.
This would include delivering: term-time coaching for minis and juniors as well as school holiday camps; group coaching for adults of all ages and abilities; training sessions for teams; and private coaching for all ages.
Included within the coaching programme, the coach would identify and develop talent and support player pathways.
As a club with around 500 members there is potential to increase and develop both the group coaching and 1:1 tuition offered.
The coach would also assist in the running of the annual Club Championships and other competitions and events throughout the year.
We have links with local schools and would look for the Head Coach to maintain and develop those relationships.
The Head Coach would also encourage and mentor individuals to take coaching qualifications, as well as support and encourage Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme volunteers.
Mortonhall is a local, friendly club based in the south of Edinburgh.
We have 5 all-weather Tiger Turf tennis courts, 3 of which are floodlit.
We are looking for a Head Coach who is self-motivated, reliable, punctual and flexible to the needs of our club.
Effective communication and good organisiational skills are essential, as well as an ability to relate to and manage tennis players of all ages and abilities.
Relevant experience would be an advantage, as would the use of Clubspark Tournament Software for events.
