Full Time Club Coach
We've got a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hardworking and enthusiastic coach to continue the development of their career in our busy programme and through individuals with our members.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work as part of a team, and also individually, whilst being proactive and forward thinking to help drive excellence within the club. Availability to coach weekday evenings and on Sundays is required, to enable us to service the offering to our members.
The role will include delivery of group coaching of all ages, individuals, junior holiday camps and organisation of internal matchplays/competitions.
The Hurlingham Club is a green oasis of tradition and international renown bordering the River Thames in Fulham set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds. Since its opening in 1869, the club’s croquet and tennis lawns, botanical gardens and stately Georgian Clubhouse – regarded as the birthplace of polo – have made it a sought-after destination for exclusive sporting and social activities.
The state-of-the-art tennis facilities include 4 indoor acrylic courts, modern all-year round outdoor surfaces (artificial grass & artificial clay), and some of the best grass courts in the country during the summer months.
Our coaching programmes offer something for all ages, from tots to team practices, and there is ample opportunity to build up a strong individual client base through the large membership.
The successful applicant will have minimum 3 years’ experience of coaching full time, and be motivated, positively minded and a real ambassador of our sport.
Candidates will also need to meet the following requirements.
- LTA Level 3 (or equivalent)
- LTA Accreditation+
- Hold valid; DBS, First Aid and Safeguarding certificates
- Good time management skills
- Clear and effective communication skills for players of all levels
- Be able to work daytime, evening and weekends (definitely Sundays).
