Join Matt Smith, Development and Learning Manager, and Jemima King, LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach and Coach Mentor, as we discuss the essentials of achieving an optimal work-life balance.
With over two decades of expertise in coaching and championing women and girls' development, Jemima's working style combines her passion for the game, both as a player and coach, with her deep understanding of its mental aspects.
Jemima has been the Head Coach at Halton Tennis Centre since 2005 and a travelling coach for players competing at ITF standards. On the competitive side, she enjoyed the junior LTA circuit, competing in junior nationals and represented Buckinghamshire from juniors to seniors as well as continuing her education and tennis pathway at an American University. She acts as a consultant for players who dream of attending an American University on a tennis scholarship and is also involved with the county off court with her role as the Bucks County Performance Officer.
This extensive experience positions Jemima in the right place to guide coaches in exploring how to balance their personal lives while progressing in their careers. These aspects include setting clear boundaries for working hours, self-care, time management, staying connected to support networks, and even investing in continuous professional development.
