Enhance your diversity and inclusion knowledge by learning the fundamentals of Visually Impaired (VI) tennis. In this webinar, featuring Frankie Rohan, Workforce Lead for British Blind Sport, and Jo Cunliffe, LTA Level 4 Coach, we will take you through the essentials of creating a welcoming environment for VI players, as well as tools to effectively coach and communicate with them.
Frankie Rohan has experienced first-hand the difficulties of transitioning from fully-sighted player to VI tennis. Having lost the majority of her sight, Frankie was introduced to VI tennis in 2017 after a long period of reluctance to try any sport of physical activity. However, VI tennis provided, according to Frankie, everything she was looking for, helping her not only to thrive and become a national coach but also to compete at both local and national levels. Currently, Frankie helps develop LTA projects focused on inclusivity and assists with coaching the GB National VI Team.
Jo Cunliffe brings to this webinar a wealth of experience both as a coach and as a player. Jo is an LTA Level 4 Coach with more than 29 years of experience, who also competed at international junior level, including reaching the junior top 150 in doubles. She’s currently performing other roles as well, such as LTA Tutor (Qualifications & CPD courses) and LTA Coach Mentor, titles that demonstrate Jo's involvement in the development of players throughout the pathway.
Whether you're currently delivering VI tennis or planning to do so in the future, this webinar will provide all the information you need. Do not miss your chance and book now!
