Due to high demand and limited spaces on this course, the Senior Coach courses are accessed by application only. You will need to be successful on the Senior Coach Readiness Test in order to be eligible to apply for the LTA Senior Coach (Level 4) qualification. However, if you have, or have ever, held a rating of 5.1 or higher you do not need to complete the LTA Senior Coach Readiness Test and can progress straight to application.
About the Senior Coach Readiness test
The Senior Coach Readiness Test consists of eight video tasks, which can each be captured separately on video using a smart phone. They should then be uploaded to YouTube (you will need a YouTube account) as an unlisted video, and then submitted to LTA Learn for assessment. In addition to uploading your tasks, LTA Learn also has supporting videos that outline the process and requirements in detail to help you through the process.
Here is an overview of the tasks:

What happens if I am successful with the SCRT?
If you are successful with the SCRT, you do not need to meet the minimum LTA rating requirement specified in the application process (5.1 or 4.1 for the performance strand). When successful, you will receive personalised feedback and an action plan from the LTA Qualification Assessor enabling you to work on the key areas highlighted to continue your development ahead of the course commencing.
What happens if I am not yet successful with the SCRT?
If your SCRT indicates that you are not yet ready, then you should take time to work through your feedback and action plan to practice the areas highlighted by the LTA Qualification Assessor before booking another SCRT attempt. You can take as many attempts as necessary, as working on your specific feedback and action plan are good coach development.
Booking a Readiness Test allows for ONE submission - if you receive a not yet pass mark you will be required to book another Readiness Test.
