I have over 30 years Tennis Coaching Experience and have been a full time coach since 1992. During my career I have coached players of all ages and abilities. I currently run a comprehensive coaching programme at St. James Tennis Club. We have a successful track record of producing county standard players and beyond. I believe to be successful in coaching you need to learn and really understand the individual needs of the players you work with.

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
