Adult Intermediate Doubles Coaching

Session suitable for players of the following standard:

• 3rd Team Ladies (Division 5)
• 3rd/4th/5th Team Men (Divisions 4/5/7)
• 6th Mixed Team (Division 7)

A doubles focused class for all players at the intermediate level, possibly with a view to playing team tennis next season. During this class we will be looking at working on positioning and patterns of play, as well as understanding defence and attack within the doubles format. Players in this class should be able to serve into the correct service box with a good level of consistency, be comfortable dealing with pace while volleying at the net and be able to maintain a competitive cross court rally using a variety of shots and spin from the baseline. Through conditioned drills and matchplay style points, this class is structured to provide technical and tactical advice to improve doubles play.
