The nations are divided into one of four groups and compete against each team in a round-robin format.

Ties are played as a best of three matches, with each match being best of three tie-break sets.

The top two teams in each group will proceed into a play-off for positions one to eight, starting with the quarter-finals. The team that wins all their knock-out matches will finish in first place and be crowned champions.

If a team loses at any stage, they will be out of the main draw, but will still have the chance to compete for their position in a separate consolation draw, leading to individual positional play-offs for each nation. By the end of the tournament, every team will finish with their own position from one to 16.

The teams who finish third or fourth in their group will go through to the play-off for positions nine to 16. This will follow the same format as the other play-off until each team finishes with a final position.

When is the draw for the World Padel Championships?

The draw will took place on Sunday 30 October. Great Britain have been drawn in Group A with Spain, Uruguay and Portugal.
