Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara will bid for their fourth ATP title of the year after dispatching the top seeds to reach the final of the Miami Open presented by Itau.
Patten and Heliovaara knocked out top seeds Marcelo Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-2, 6-3 in an hour and six minutes to book their place in a fourth final of the season.
The pair have been the in-form duo on the ATP doubles tour over the past six months and are currently riding an 11 match win streak following their title runs in Doha and Dubai. They also sealed the Adelaide International title back in January.
Patten and Heliovaara are yet to drop a set so far this tournament and will be hoping to carry their confidence into the final where they are set to face seventh seeded Italian duo Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.
The two-time Grand Slam champions saved all eight break points they faced, while taking their chances when presented - breaking twice in the opening set to seize control against the top seeds.
Patten and Heliovaara carried that momentum into the second, racing to a 3-0 lead to tighten their grip on the match. They were particularly impressive on serve, dropping just seven points behind their delivery during the 38-minute set.
The third seeds earned their first match points at 5-2, but their Spanish-Argentine opponents held firm, forcing Heliovaara to serve it out. The Finnish star delivered under pressure, firing a serve down the T before Patten sealed victory with a crisp volley at the net to punch their ticket to a first Miami Open final.
There, they'll look to secure their third win of the season over Bolelli and Vavassori, having beaten them en route to the titles in Doha and Adelaide.
