Emma Raducanu made a young fan's dream come true as she surprised 11‑year‑old Joanie Melady at the National Tennis Centre, following a special invitation from the LTA and the HSBC Championships.
Joanie, an 11-year-old girl who was born with part of her left arm missing, first appeared on BBC Breakfast two years ago where she hailed former US Open champion Raducanu as her favourite tennis player.
Fast forward to the beginning of June and Joanie's dreams became a reality when she was offered the opportunity to finally meet her tennis hero in person.
Having been invited down to Roehampton for a tour of the National Tennis Centre, Joanie had no idea what was waiting for her.
Watch as Raducanu joined Joanie on court for a once-in-a-lifetime hit and a chat - an experience that both described as unforgettable.
