Joe and Rajeev at the O2

Day 5

It was another incredibly tight match for Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram at the ATP Finals on Thursday afternoon, however they eventually fell short to second seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo. After a strong start to the match and taking the first set, the pair battled hard before losing out in a deciding set tie-break 6-7(5), 6-4, [10-7].

Joe and Rajeev played some fantastic tennis throughout each of their three group matches but unfortunately the loss means that they will miss out on a place in Saturday’s semi-finals, bringing an end to what has been a hugely successful year for them both.

Day 3

Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram brilliantly battled through their second round-robin match on Tuesday afternoon at the O2. The fourth seeds fought back from a set down to defeat Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek 3-6, 6-3, [10-6].

The victory marks Joe's first win at the ATP Finals; the 27-year-old made his debut on Sunday, but fell to Venus and Klaasen.

The Brit and American will face second seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo on Thursday in their third and final round-robin match, with a spot in Saturday's semi-finals at stake.

Day 1

Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram kicked off proceedings at London's O2 Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Brit and American faced Michael Venus and Raven Klaasen in the opening match of the 2019 ATP Finals and despite some strong play, fell 6-3, 6-4.

Joe and Rajeev will next take on Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek, on Tuesday 12:00 GMT. They have been placed in Group Jonas Bjorkman which means their final round-robin clash will be against Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo on Thursday. The top two teams from Jonas Bjorkman will advance to the knockout stages along with the top two teams from Group Max Mirnyi.
