Format Format addremove

Great Britain will host Europe/Africa Group I tie in Bath. The Zone Group event, co-hosted with Poland, will take place from 6 – 9 February at the University of Bath, with the 15 nations in Group I split across the two host locations. Joining Great Britain to compete in Bath are Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Georgia & Slovenia.

The official draw takes place on Monday 14 January, whereby the eight nations will be split into two round robin groups of four, with the round robin matches played across Wednesday 6 – Friday 8 February, every nation having a match each day.  All nations will then progress through to play-offs on the Saturday to determine the final order of standings, one through to eight. The winners of each round robin group play each other, as do the 2nd placed nations and so on.

The nation finishing at the top of the standings will be promoted to the World Group II Play-Offs in April, for a chance to compete in the World Group II in 2020. The nation finishing in eighth place will be relegated to the Europe/Africa Group II. Those finishing two through to seven will remain in the Europe/Africa Group I in 2020.
