Guidelines for COVID-19: Health & Safety Protocols for Ticket Holders

LTA Grass Court Events 2021

YOU MUST READ AND AGREE TO FOLLOW THIS PROTOCOL AT ALL TIMES. IF YOU ARE ATTENDING AN LTA EVENT WITH OTHER MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD/BUBBLE, YOU MUST MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ALSO READ THIS PROTOCOL.

EVERYONE HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT EVENTS CAN TAKE PLACE AS SAFELY AS POSSIBLE AND ARE PERMITTED TO CONTINUE. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS PROTOCOL MAY MEAN TICKET HOLDERS ARE DENIED ENTRY TO LTA EVENTS, OR ASKED TO LEAVE AN EVENT SITE.

The LTA Summer Events 2021 Conditions of Entry for ticket holders are available here and the LTA Event Ticket Terms and Conditions are available here.

To adhere to UK government regulations and guidance, and help to create as safe as possible an environment for everyone attending the grass court events this summer, a number of key measures will be in place.

However, the risk of transmission of COVID-19 cannot be completely eliminated. Please therefore consider whether you should be attending the event, taking into account factors such as your own health status and/ or that of those in your family and/ or household bubble. You should not attend an event if you feel uncomfortable with the risk associated with doing so.

Key measures

  • Face coverings must be worn by all ticket holders over the age of 11 across the entire event site, including in stadium seating, unless exempt. The only exception to this is when you are eating or drinking, and food and drink must only be consumed whilst seated in stadium seating or a designated café area. Current government guidance related to exemptions is accessible here.
  • Ticket holders should maintain social distancing from those outside of their household/bubble to the extent required by government guidance.
  • Handwashing facilities and alcohol gel stations will be provided across event sites, and ticket holders should use these regularly to maintain good hand hygiene.
  • Clear signage will be in place across event sites, and ticket holders should take care to follow one-way systems and other directions from stewards.
  • Ticket holders must only sit in their allocated seat.
  • All ticket holders will be required to provide their details for NHS Test and Trace, as required by law.
  • All tickets will be digital, for further information click here

Health and COVID-19 symptoms

You MUST NOT attend an LTA event if you:

  • Have been instructed to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace.
  • Are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 including a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
  • Have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event.
  • Are required to self-isolate at home due to recent international travel.

Are restricted from travelling to the event by any other applicable UK government restrictions, including but not limited to a local lockdown.

Travelling to events

  • The LTA recommends that ticket holders plan their journeys in advance and arrive in good time to allow time to go through the necessary entry procedures, including using the relevant entry point to site as directed. There will be measures in place to facilitate social distancing at entry points.
  • Ticket holders should ensure that they comply with government guidance on safer travel, including wearing a face covering on public transport.
  • Ticket holders should not gather outside event sites before or after the event in any way that breaches social distancing rules.
