Tennis heads to Ilkley next week for the next ATP Challenger and ITF W100 events in the grass court calendar.

When is the Lexus Ilkley Trophy 2024?

Qualifying at this year’s Lexus Ilkley Trophy will take place between Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 June.

Main draw action is set to start on Monday 17 with finals taking place on Sunday 22 June.

Where is the Lexus Ilkley Trophy taking place?

The Lexus Ilkley Trophy returns once again to the Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.

The club boasts an impressive 24 tennis courts, including 14 grass courts that host tournaments of different levels throughout the year.

Which British players will be competing at the Lexus Ilkley Trophy 2024?

Lily Miyazaki is currently the only British player with direct entry into this year’s main draw.

The British star will head to Ilkley after a strong start to the season so far in which she has won two W75 titles in Andrezieux-Boutheon and Croissy-Beaubourg – the two biggest trophies of her career.

More British wild cards and players in qualifying will be announced nearer the time.

Who else is competing at the Lexus Ilkley Trophy?

In the men’s draw, Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori is the highest ranked player in the draw, with the former world No.37 leading a strong line-up that also includes France’s Hugo Gaston and Colombia’s Daniel Elahi Galan.

Elsewhere, former world No.7 David Goffin will be one to watch, as well as the 16-time ATP title-winner Richard Gasquet, who at 37 will be looking to get his name on the trophy for the first time. Former Wimbledon semi-finalist Denis Shapovalov is another standout name on this year’s entry list.

On the women’s side, China’s Zhuoxuan Bai and the USA’s Katie Volynets and Claire Liu in a line-up complete with 15 WTA top 150 players.

Past British performances at the Lexus Ilkley Trophy

Jodie Burrage is the only Brit to have reached a singles final at the Lexus Ilkley Trophy back in 2022, where she took Hungary’s Dalma Galfi to three sets before finishing runner-up.

Doubles stars Henry Patten and Julian Cash are the only two British players to win in Ilkley – capturing the 2022 men’s doubles title with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Ramkumar Ramanathan and John-Patrick Smith.

Joe Salisbury, Brydan Klein, Ken Skupski and Neal Skupski have all ended up as runners-up in the men’s doubles competition with Naiktha Bains and Maia Lumsden also losing in the final in 2022.
