Congratulations on being shortlisted for a place at National Academy!
You are among a select few in the country who we believe are ready to be considered for a place at this exciting programme, and have the potential to thrive in a world-class pro-style training environment. You should be proud of your achievements to date and for reaching this stage of the National Academy selection process.
There is one National Academy: the Loughborough University National Tennis Academy (LUNTA). The National Academy provides a full-time residential training environment with world-class coaching and a bespoke competition and tennis programme, with all players embedded in an environment that is designed to help you develop your game both on and off the court. The programme is tailored to the individual, with support provided for continued development as a person, a player, and a performer. In addition sports science and sports medicine provision is fully included and the programme runs alongside first class mainstream education.
At this stage every shortlisted player will need to apply for a place at the National Academy. All the information you need can be found below and the next steps are as follows:
- Visit or call the National Academy if not done so already
- Complete and submit your application by 15 April 2024
- Selection decisions will be communicated by 1 May 2024
