“We’re delighted to welcome to Sophie to our Board here at Tennis Wales. In our new 2020 – 2024 strategy we’ve committed to lead, govern and safeguard tennis in Wales to the highest standards in sport, and Sophie’s passion for tennis combined with her professional experience as a partner at Watkins & Gunn where she is Head of Family Matters will play a huge role is us achieving our vision”.

Our new 2020 – 2024 vision for tennis opened up across Wales launched earlier this year, and with 1,200 tennis courts across Wales, the Governing Body is committed to growing the game by making it relevant, accessible, welcoming & enjoyable right across the country in the years ahead.

Commenting on her desire to join Tennis Wales as a Director, Hughes added
