Tennis Scotland Challenge Tour

This second-tier nationwide circuit sees men and women compete at events around Scotland throughout the year, including some of the longest-running and most historic tournaments in the country.
Events include young players who aspire to compete professionally as well as national-level players and ambitious club players.
Players compete for Leaderboard points as they bid to secure their place at the year-end Tour Finals, which features 8 men and 8 women.
The Tour was created by Tennis Scotland in partnership with clubs, organisers and other partners as a national structure of competition for yellow-ball players, creating opportunities for all levels of play.
By also hosting workshops and development competitions, many Tour events also provide opportunities for tennis coaches and junior players to develop their skills.
The Challenge tier is made of up a number of events taking place around Scotland, including:
- Weeklong Grade 3 events
- One-Day Fast4 Regional Tour Grade 3 events
- Weeklong Grade 4 events
- One-Day Grade 4 events
Players compete for Leaderboard ranking points to qualify for the TS Challenge Tour Finals.
Leaderboard
- Grade 4 ranking points will be awarded for all events, including Fast 4 Regional Tour
TS Challenge Tour Finals
- The top 7 players from the Leaderboard qualify for the Finals, with 1 wildcard available
- To be eligible for a wildcard, a player must have played in at least 1 Challenge Tour event
- Players who qualify for both TS Open Tour and Challenge Tour Finals will automatically be placed in Open Tour event
- A player who is defaulted from any event or receives a suspension may be deemed ineligible and refused entry for any TS Tour final event (Open, Challenge or Junior Tour).
