Venue Registration Fee 2019-2020 Reimbursement Scheme

What is it?

We know that all tennis venues will face challenges in the current situation, no matter their size or geographic location. As a result, the LTA will reimburse registration fees to all registered venues that have paid their registration fee to their National, County or Island Association for the 2019-20 registration period.

Who is eligible?

All registered venues, in England, Scotland and Wales who registered with the LTA by 1st March 2020 will be eligible to request a reimbursement of the registration fee paid by them for the 2019-20 registration period only.

How will it work?

Except where the venue has paid a discounted fee rate, the LTA reimbursement will match the normal standard registration fee rates for 2019-2020 based on the number of courts at the venue (subject to the maximum standard charge for venues in England and Wales outlined below), as follows:

  • £110 per non-grass court
  • £55 per grass court
  • £200 discounted rate* for new tennis venues not previously registered, universities and nomadic tennis venues**

When calculating the total registration fee for the 2019-2020 registration period, all non-grass courts were considered first, and venues were only charged up to a maximum of 12 courts in total, meaning the maximum standard charge was £1,320 for venues in England and Wales.

*A discounted rate of a £200 total fee (regardless of number of courts) applied for new tennis venues that were not previously registered, universities and nomadic tennis venues.

**Nomadic tennis venues are organisations that do not have permanent access to courts through freehold or leasehold ownership and/or on an exclusive basis for more than 15 hours per week for 40 weeks of the year.

Where a venue has paid a discounted fee rate, as agreed with their National, County or Island Association, the LTA reimbursement will be equivalent to the discounted rate paid.

The LTA reimbursement will not include any other local national or county association fees or charges which may have been paid by a venue in addition to the rates listed above.

How do I request it?

After processing three successful payment windows for this support package, this scheme is now closed.
