Officials Grant Support Scheme

What is it?

During these challenging times, the LTA wants to support those most affected by the coronavirus pandemic, to ensure that tennis in Britain emerges from this period in as strong and healthy a position as possible and our sport is able to resume its unique role in keeping the nation active. LTA Licensed Officials play a fundamental role in the sport in Britain and we want to support those most impacted at this difficult time.

The support available to eligible LTA Licensed Officials is a grant calculated on the basis of £95 per week for a maximum of 12 weeks. The level of grant that you receive will be based on the amount that you would have otherwise received for the period of March, April and May 2020 when working as a tennis official at approved competitions (either domestic or international) but excluding any expenses.

Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria you may be provided with a grant calculated in increments of £95. There will be a cap of £1,140.

Who is eligible?

To apply:

(a) you will need to be an LTA Licensed Official;

(b) you will have self-employed status, or be the sole director of a limited company; and

(c) your primary income (more than 50%) must come from running competitions or officiating.

These criteria are designed to ensure that those eligible LTA Licensed Officials who make a living from the game are prioritised.
