Tennis Coach
This is a part-time tennis coaching role starting with 12 hours of core group delivery, plus the opportunity to build up hours of individual coaching. This role is perfect for someone looking for part-time opportunities, but equally it will be suitable for an individual looking to build hours as there is scope for the role to develop into a full-time position. However we are equally content for the role to retain as a part-time position and can be moulded to your current schedule.
On-court delivery consists of LTA Youth through to Adult group sessions on a weekly basis. The project has a waiting list of players ready to kickstart a new programme. As this is a new programme with new provision, we have flexibility to work with the successful candidate to determine the programme schedule.
The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver an individual coaching and the candidate can run a self-employed coaching business alongside delivering a group coaching programme.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Court Delivery: Conduct tennis coaching sessions, including LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult Sessions, cardio tennis and Free Parks Tennis. Develop School/Club links to enhance coaching programme
Personal Coaching Business: Opportunity to supplement income through individual coaching on a self-employed basis.
Hours & Compensation:
Part-time role, up to 12 hours per week, plus up to 10 hours of individual coaching.
Salary, Contact employer. This is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Potential for additional income from personal coaching, School outreach and Camps, estimated 12k per annum.
Basingstoke Indoor Tennis Centre has 4 indoor tennis courts, four outdoor tennis courts, four pickleball tennis courts and after a strategic refurbishment, we now have a large pavilion with a fully functioning Cafe with ongoing refurb plans.

Surrey Heath comprises 4 x multi park sites in and around Camberley, Surrey. These venues are London Road Recreation Ground (4 courts) Frimley Green Recreation Ground (2 courts), Mytchett Recreation Ground (2 courts) and Watchetts Recreation Ground (5 courts). Watchetts backs directly onto Frimley Tennis Club.

The successful applicant will ideally be an LTA Accredited Level 3 coach or above (but we will accept exceptional Level 2 candidates) and have:
On-Court:
A minimum 2 years experience as an Accredited LTA Coach, tailoring sessions to cater to a range of skill levels, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
Off-Court Responsibilities:
Strong planning skills to develop and execute long-term visions for programme growth.
Ability to engage with NTA management, Schools and Parents
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
General Skills and Qualities:
A dedication to personal and professional development, staying abreast of the latest trends in tennis coaching, sports management, and customer service.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate must be a level 2 or above, ideally working towards their Club Coach Award.
They must be comfortable working with children aged 4-17 and be trained as an LTA Youth coach. The candidate must also have:
Passion and enthusiasm for the game
Min 2 years experience in delivering a wide range of coaching sessions.
A strong customer service ethos and desire to improve coaching services to all.
A professional manner and reliable
The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
The passion for continued learning and self-development
Experience in using software packages (including ClubSpark)
