Tennis Coach - Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre
The Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable tennis coach to join our team on a part-time contract (15.75 hours a week). You’ll be coaching a mix of group sessions - mini tennis, juniors, adults- and there’s plenty of opportunity to build up your own private lesson schedule too.
It’s a great role for someone who loves being on court, enjoys helping others improve, and wants to be part of a supportive and growing coaching team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering fun and engaging group sessions across different age groups and levels
Getting involved with community events and school programmes where needed
Creating a positive experience for all players and helping them progress
Following all safeguarding, health & safety, and venue procedures
Building relationships with players and parents to encourage long-term involvement
Taking on private lessons (optional) outside your core hours for additional earnings
What We’re Looking For:
LTA Level 2 or above (Level 3 ideal, but not essential)
A current DBS, First Aid, and Safeguarding certificate (or willingness to get them)
Good communication and timekeeping
Someone who brings energy, positivity, and a team spirit
A genuine passion for helping players of all ages grow in confidence and skill

Indoor facilities include: 4 badminton and 4 tennis courts.

A fully air‑conditioned gym onsite features 31 stations, including cardio machines, resistance equipment, free weights, and more
Opening hours typically run from Monday–Friday, 07:00–21:00, and weekends from 08:00 to 14:00, with slight variations on bank holidays

The venue supports community initiatives such as LTA coaching programmes, accessible court hire, and no‑membership booking under the BE ACTIVE scheme
We’re looking for a passionate, friendly, and reliable tennis coach who enjoys working with players of all ages and abilities. You should hold a minimum of an LTA Level 2 coaching qualification, with up-to-date Safeguarding and First Aid certificates (or be willing to obtain them). Experience delivering group sessions—particularly to children and adults—is essential, along with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the confidence to lead sessions independently. You’ll need to be organised, punctual, and committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment on and off the court. An enhanced DBS check is required for the role. Ideally, you’ll hold a Level 3 qualification and be LTA Accredited+, with experience in schools, community programmes, or disability tennis. There’s also the opportunity to grow your own private client base, so an entrepreneurial mindset is a bonus. Evening and weekend availability is required, as is the right to work in the UK.
