Part-Time Coach Instructor for Junior Programme
The Hollingbury Park junior coaching programme is looking for part-time tennis coach instructor, qualified to a minimum LTA Level 2 and at least 18 years old, who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, professional, and reliable and available for 10-15 hours per week starting 1st June 2025.
This is a role for someone to come in and give their all to helping the juniors and programme progress. It is a great opportunity for a coach looking to gain experience in many aspects of coaching and work in a growing club. There will

The position will initially offer 10 hours of group coaching weekly, with the potential to expand coaching offerings and increase hours as the programme grows. The coach must be available for on-court delivery after school from
3:30pm 2-3 days per week (MWF) and on Sundays from 9-3pm.
Hollingbury Park Tennis Club is a 6-court tennis club situated in the Brighton Fiveways community with a reputation for being the friendliest and most welcoming club. Currently, the club has about 100 members. In 2023, the club took over the lease of the courts from the council. The junior section began in Autumn 2023 with 6 players and has been growing since. The courts are not currently floodlit but the club are looking into floodlights in the near future and are pending planning permission.
Junior programme overview: The Hollingbury junior programme is fully centred around a teamwork and community ethos and learning through competition. We do not offer individual lessons and have found success developing county standard players through quality coaching in a team environment. Many of our competitive team players have additional behavioural or learning needs. There are over 50 juniors consistently participating in group/team coaching offerings each week. 20 competitive team players do 2-3 training sessions per week. We also have a thriving SEND programme and a wonderful group of teen Tennis Leaders who volunteer their time with the SEND players.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Embody the programme ethos and be a role model by: being committed to keep improving themselves, always giving their best effort, showing love for the game, and being an excellent team player.
- Deliver group lessons to beginners ages 5-16 and be able to adapt their coaching style to different needs and ages.
- Coach and motivate the all-girls groups and teams.
- Coach children with additional learning and behavioural needs. Previous experience in SEND teaching/coaching is an asset, but not essential.
