Full Time Tennis Coach - Central Hampshire
Absolute Tennis is offering the opportunity for the right candidate to join our growing team of coaches.
We are looking for a Level 3 + however would consider an outstanding Level 2 who is working towards their level 3 qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Run junior & adult groups at Knightwood Leisure Centre & The Mountbatten School (located around 10 minutes apart)
Run before and after school tennis sessions at local primary schools

Absolute Tennis was started by Martin Terrill in 2010 based at The Mountbatten School.
Martin started with 45 children and has since built the program to over 300 players thanks to great support from some very talented coaches and support from the LTA.
Earlier this year, Absolute Tennis added Knightwood Leisure Centre to its site network to accommodate for the great demand for tennis coaching in the area.
Absolute Tennis has links with around 26 secondary and primary schools in the area which has driven the need for additional facility space that Knightwood LC provides.
Over both sites, Absolute Tennis has 9 floodlit tennis courts along with 2 mini tennis courts and 2 sports halls that greatly helps when the traditional English weather hits!
Knightwood Leisure Centre is a registered ‘Places To Play’ venue for Absolute Tennis.
Absolute Tennis is looking to branch out to central Hampshire.
Absolute Tennis firmly believes that a great personality is the key ingredient that makes a great coach. If you are a bright, bubbly coach who is passionate about giving their clients a great time, this is the position for you.
The successful candidate should be Level 3 Accredited+ or a level 2 who has substantial coaching experience and working towards their Level 3 qualification.
The coach should be able to run group and individual sessions which not only improve players technique but improve how players play tennis itself. This includes the ability to coach tactics in both singles and doubles and the mental and physical challenges that come with this.
Our players play for a variety of reasons, ranging from simply improving their tennis, meeting new people, or maybe for health reasons. An understanding & awareness of this and the lesson planning that reflects this is very important. The coach will also be working with clients of a variety of ages so the ability to get on their ‘level’ is vital.
A message from Martin Terrill who founded and runs Absolute Tennis
Thank you for taking the time to read through this job specification.
From the age of 20 it was always my ambition to take what was first a hobby and make it into a career. I have been very lucky to do this and also build a business which is extremely satisfying. Currently we have around 300 people in our program and I believe through fun, engaging lessons with great content, we can grow this figure to 500+ over the next 2-3 years.
I personally invest in people as I believe they are the heart of any business in any industry.
This job offers great variety and the successful candidate will have my ongoing support for their development. I am ideally looking for a coach with an entrepreneurial spirit who can add ideas to help develop new business opportunities.
I will also like to learn from them as I believe that whatever level of experience you have, we can always learn and develop together. After all, this is what makes this profession so great, hey!
