Join us in conversation with Matt Smith, Development and Learning Manager, and Ana Soares, specialist in sport psychology and LTA Coach Mentor, as we discuss the most common on- and off-court challenges of dealing with pressure for players.
According to Ultimate Tennis Statistics, three of the best-ranked players of all time (Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer) have only won 54% of the points they played throughout their extensive and successful careers; just over half of them. This shows the importance of mental resilience in crucial moments and explains why players value the increasing relevance of psychology in tennis.
Ana Soares is a specialist in sport psychology, with 15 years of experience in high-performance tennis. She has worked with professional players in the ATP and WTA Top 100, as well as junior players. Ana has also worked in football with Southampton Football Club and was a lecturer in sport psychology at Health Sciences University. She completed her PhD in tennis psychology at the University of Winchester.
If you'd like to hear from an industry leader in the psychology space and gain top tips to help players build strategies for focus, handle victory and loss, and increase confidence, this webinar is for you.
