Shaun is a well respected performance coach in the UK and has been managing coaching programmes to deliver excellence in tennis from grassroots to international level. As former Head Coach of Sutton Tennis Academy he is highly experienced in developing successful player pathways. Shaun is a former LTA/BTCA ‘Young Coach of the year’ and is the current Surrey U14 Boys County Manager. Recent results from players include a national champion, national finalist, and numerous County Champions.

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
