I have been coaching for over 10 years, first of all in Scotland and then in Manchester as head coach at Monton Sports Club, where I greatly increased the number of people playing tennis there. I was also a coach at Urmston tennis club for the ladies team and at Bowdon LTC taking group sessions and private lessons. Now moved back to Scotland and will be starting coaching at Rattray and Burrelton tennis clubs in the Spring.

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
All coaches displayed on this tool are committed to delivering tennis to people of all backgrounds including disability, faith, gender identity, race, sex and sexual orientation.
