On this day in 2016 Andy Murray became the first Brit to reach World No.1 in men’s singles tennis since the system was introduced in 1973. In honour of his outstanding campaign we’re breaking down the exceptional 12 months that catapulted Murray to the summit of the world rankings – a position he’d stay in for 41 weeks.
