Loan Repayment Holiday

What is it?

We want to help to reduce the demands on the cash flow of LTA registered venues during this period of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis and so we will be giving a loan repayment holiday for a period of 6 months on all LTA loans.

Who is eligible?

All LTA registered venues with a loan from the LTA will be eligible for a repayment holiday for a period of 6 months from 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2020.

How will it work?

The LTA will not take the repayment(s) which would otherwise have been due to be paid by way of direct debit during the period from 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2020. If you are an LTA registered venue with an outstanding loan which is settled by standing order you may also pause this for the period stated.

This will automatically extend the life of the loan for 6 months, i.e. repayments will remain the same (and be for the same amounts and at the same frequency) upon restarting.

There will not be any option to ‘refund’ any payments already made by LTA registered venues.

The loan repayment holiday will neither increase nor reduce the overall amount of the loan repayable to the LTA.

How do I access it?

There is no application process; the loan repayment holiday will automatically apply to all existing LTA loans to LTA registered venues. A communication will be sent by the LTA to all LTA registered venues which have an existing loan with the LTA confirming the above and giving them the opportunity to opt out should they wish to.
