Working alongside our Club Managers, the Head of ORS will be responsible for the following:

Developing the Adult Programme for Tennis, Padel & Pickleball. Starting & developing a disability programme for tennis.

Starting a Schools Outreach Programme (SOP), making contact with local schools, pitching tennis onsite at schools with LTA Youth Start, follow on courses, curriculum time, schools teams and building close relationships.

Working with the tennis junior development section to identify talent, encourage and promote promising juniors into competition.

Run internal & external competitions at all levels. Attend, coach & support Bexley juniors at local competitions like Kent County Closed.

Bexley LTSRC has 8 tennis courts (3 artificial clay and 5 tarmac) of which 7 are floodlit. 4 Pickleball courts (permanent lines on 2 of the tarmac courts). 5 squash courts, 2 of which are glass backed with a viewing area. A small gym with predominantly cardio equipment. A modern clubhouse with a bar which is open 7 days a week. Bexley LTSRC is currently looking at constructing 4 Padel courts at a remote location close to the club.

Extensive coaching experience is essential, preferably a Head Coach Position, Number 2 role or senior club coach position.

On court coaching of a high standard, professional in actions and appearance at all times.

A very good level of play in tennis, interest in Padel & Pickleball.

Offer the highest level of member service; in particular create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Have excellent interpersonal skills and a forward facing outlook.

Be supportive of the junior development programme, working with the established programme and allowing it to continue unhindered.

Provide support and communication to the Club Managers.

Heading up a team of up to 10 teaching professionals, both full time and part time.

Designing and putting into place a Padel Tennis Coaching programme at our other venue.

Supporting the Pickleball programme and putting into place the options of lessons and mix-ins.

The Head of ORS will need to be involved in promoting & improving competitive and playing opportunities for all members.

An extensive overview of what creates a quality customer experience within a club setting.

Computer literate.

Highly motivated to create an exciting programme.

Be an LTA Licensed level 3 Accredited coach minimum.

Preferable additional qualifications - PTR and / or RPT qualifications, LTA Youth Start, LTA Youth Compete, Results Manager, LTA R3 Tournament Organiser, and Tournament referee qualifications.
