I provide individual and group tuition to children and adults, from beginner to upper-intermediate level. With beginners I focus on the basics of stroke development and movement through structured drills. For more experienced players I identify and focus on specific areas for improvement. I've become well-practised in a variety of teaching methods that enable me to provide flexibility in my coaching and avoid a one-way-fits-all approach. Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
