Raymond Miquel CBE, Chairman and Managing Director of Lees Foods plc, attended the AEGON Scottish Junior International tournament at Craiglockhart, Edinburgh, to present the annual Miquel Awards for 2009.
Alice Keddie, from Invergowie, was the recipient of the girls trophy with Bruce Strachan of Aberdeen picking up the boys trophy. Both Alice and Bruce receive cheques for £500, courtesy of Raymond Miquel, to assist with their tennis programmes.
Unfortunately Bruce was unable to attend due to a family holiday so collecting on his behalf was the 2008 Miquel Award winner, Euan McIntosh.
Both Alice and Euan were fresh from victories in the finals of the AEGON Scottish Junior International 14U doubles events.
