Tennis Shropshire is supported by a team of volunteer officials.
Cathie joined the LTA Council representing Shropshire in 2001. She has served on the Education & Young People Committee, the Affiliation Review Group and the National Tennis Operations Advisory & Scrutiny Board. Cathie is now on the LTA main board.
A retired schoolteacher, Cathie is the National Chairman of Schools Tennis and Chairman of the AEGON Classic pre-Wimbledon tournament (since 2006). She is a qualified referee and holds a number of positions within Shropshire including Child Protection Officer and Chair of the Tournament Committee. She has just completed four years as the chairman of the AEGON Classic and since December 2010 has become the Deputy President of the LTA.

Pete has been coaching in Shropshire for 10 years, and is currently Head Coach at Longden Tennis Club. He has been a qualified tennis coach since 1991, but only started coaching full time after finishing his studies/tennis scholarship at Jacksonville State University, Alabama in 1998.

A committee member at Cound Tennis Club for 35 years; past Chairman, now Treasurer and Groundsman. David oversaw the recent funding and building of two new all-weather courts, whilst keeping the existing shale courts up to match standard and is particularly interested in promoting family memberships within the club.

Fiona is Chair of Market Drayton Tennis Club and plays in one of the club teams throughout the year. She is also involved in junior tennis through her daughter and as a result of the junior tournaments which she runs locally.

An agricultural merchant for Shropshire and Wales, Chris is the Chairman of High Ercall club having been with the club for 25 years. He was the driving force in attaining the two new hard courts in 2007 in addition to the two shale, giving High Ercall more diversity.

Brendan has spent much of his life playing tennis at a variety of clubs in the Manchester area. But recently he and his family moved to Shropshire. He joined Baschurch Tennis Club and is now Vice Chairman of the club as well as captaining the mens third team.
In 2010, he took the lead role in helping the club attain Clubmark status.
