LEVEL 1 - TENNIS COACHING ASSISTANT COURSE
This qualification is an introduction to tennis coaching and is aimed at people who are enthusiastic about tennis and want to help a coach deliver Mini Tennis.   If you are a parent who wants to help their children enjoy and improve their Mini Tennis, a teacher working within a school or you want to help the coach at your club or in your local park then this course will give you the information and skills you require.

The course is 3 days – 2 consecutive days followed by a 3-6 week break for practical experience and a final 1 day assessment.  Candidates must attend all 3 days. The course costs £195.

The level 1 courses scheduled in Avon and Wiltshire take place on:
16/17 October & 14 November 2010 - Delta TC, Swindon from 9am – 5pm
23/24 April & 15 May 2011 - Coombe Dingle, Bristol from 9.30am – 5.30pm

Candidates must:
Be at least 16 years of age on the first day of the course
Hold a current satisfactory LTA CRB Disclosure – must be less than 12 months old at the start of the course.

LEVEL 2 - TENNIS COACHING ASSISTANT COURSE
If you want to help within a coaching programme and would like to be able to deliver group coaching to beginners of any age then this qualification is for you.  It will build on the skills learnt on the Level 1 course and will expand your knowledge of working with groups of players in different environments. It will also focus on running short format competitions that will allow beginners to enjoy competing.

The Course is 5 days – 2 consecutive days followed by a 4-6 week break for mentored experience, a further 2 consecutive days followed by a 4-6 week break for mentored experience and then a final 1 day assessment.  Candidates must attend all 5 days. The Course costs £365.

The Level 2 course scheduled in Avon and Wiltshire takes place on:
3/4 Feb, 10/11 March, 28 April 2011 - Coombe Dingle, Bristol from 9.30am – 5.30pm

Candidates must:
Be at least 17 years of age on the first day of the course
Have completed the Level 1 coaching assistant course or have a Tennis Assistants (TA) qualification
Be LTA Registered or hold a current satisfactory LTA CRB disclosure – must be less then 12 months old at the start of the course
Hold a HSE Approved Emergency First Aid At Work Certificate
