The LTA wants to ensure that all children, young people and adults at risk are safe from harm and have an enjoyable tennis experience. We adhere to national safe recruitment procedures, which means people wanting to work in regulated activity with children, young people or adults at risk are required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and/or Barred List check. Information held by the Scottish Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVGS) will also be revealed on a DBS check.
A DBS check is a record of all warnings, reprimands, cautions and convictions obtained from local and national police records. Chief Police Officers may also choose to disclose information that they reasonably consider might be relevant to the role.
If you are working with children, young people or adults at risk in Regulated Activity, your DBS check will also search the Barred List. This will check to see whether you are suspended from working with children, young people or adults at risk.
