Overview of Venue

The East Gloucestershire club is a well-established tennis venue in the beautiful spa town of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. As part of its’ long term strategy for growing participation the club has won the contract to be the coaching provider to two parks in the town. The two sites (Montpellier Park – 6 Courts) and (Pittville Park (3 Courts) will undergo refurbishment this summer and have the latest booking / access technology installed. The court bookings and technology will be operated by In the Park Ltd, who also provide the catering and events services. There is significant opportunity to grow the coaching programme on these parks. Coupled with this the club is looking at its School Link programme to expose new children to tennis and attract them into the coaching programmes at both park and club venues.

With a population of over 115,300, Cheltenham presents a fantastic opportunity to expose new people to tennis and both the clubs and parks themselves have the capacity for higher participation.
