Overview of Venue/Company:

The Heron Tennis Centre has been established over 16 years since its opening in 2003. Our mission is to offer everyone (we have over 450 members, plus non-members) from toddlers to seniors the opportunities to learn, progress and love tennis. We strive to be like a youth club for juniors and a place where adults come to see their friends for tennis, to socialise in our Courtside Cafe and for exercise classes in our Heron Room. We also offer aspiring players the opportunities and pathways to fulfil their potential via our Ace Academy programme.

With over 250 junior and adults receiving coaching each week, plus visitors for tennis, users of our function room and our cafe and bar, we are renowned for having a welcoming and vibrant culture. Our coaching programme features junior and adult county champions and county team players. We are also proud to have produced a player who was ATP world-ranked and is currently receiving a full scholarship to a US division 1 college.

Heron's facilities: 2 indoor acyclic courts, 8 outdoor (4 floodlit) courts, 2 mini courts, practice wall, Courtside Cafe and bar, Heron Room for functions, offices and a reception selling a small number of tennis products.
