Tennis Coach - West Worthing Tennis & Squash Club
We require a strong Level 2 tennis coach to join our friendly coaching team at West Worthing Tennis & Squash Club to deliver to a wide range of ages and abilities across our multiple venues (West Worthing Tennis and Squash Club and Homefield Park).
A large part of the role will be leading and delivering group tennis coaching sessions to players on our community tennis programme at Homefield Park, Tarring Park and West Worthing Tennis & Squash Club to all ages from Mini Tennis to Adult coaching including school holiday camps and to lead on the delivery on the school’s programme in the surrounding areas.
Our coaches are friendly, hardworking, motivated and all love working together to create a great tennis environment for our customers.
You must be able to work evening and weekends.
West Worthing Club is a family friendly non-profit making Community Amateur Sports Club situated on the outskirts of Worthing. The Club, which was established in 1886 as a tennis club, has evolved into a thriving multi-sports venue offering some of the best racquets sports facilities in the South of England.
With 13 grass tennis courts, 7 floodlit hard courts and 3 permanent indoor courts, tennis is an all year round sport at West Worthing Club. Our two covered and floodlit padel courts are an exciting new addition to our club, offering all year round play, whatever the weather.
The 6 squash courts and provision for racketball, table tennis, petanque, snooker, croquet, bridge together with resident running club, Worthing Striders, means we have wide appeal within the local community and welcome newcomers regardless of age, ability or background. Visitors to the Club also enjoy a fully licensed bar and cafe with panoramic views over the tennis courts.
Tennis is at the heart of what we do and we are passionate about growing the sport and opening it up to everyone.
Our experienced tennis coaching team provides tennis coaching for all levels and abilities from Mini Tennis through to adults.
Since 2019 West Worthing has been the coaching provider for Homefield Park (6 courts) delivering a community tennis programme for adults and juniors within the central Worthing area.
You will have:
- a tennis coaching qualification (min Level 2)
- knowledge and experience of mini and junior tennis and/or club coaching
- excellent communication skills
- enthusiasm with a passion for developing young people within the sport of tennis
